Today you travel to Interlaken (via Zurich), where you’ll stay for seven nights on a bed and breakfast basis. Look forward to the scenic journey as you first fly to Zurich, from where you’ll travel on the acclaimed Swiss rail network to the resort of Interlaken.

In the heart of the wonderfully scenic Bernese Oberland, the pretty town of Interlaken is situated between two lakes, Thun and Brienz. Numerous easy walks lead from the town along the lakeside or up into the mountains, or explore the town’s network of narrow streets and pretty squares.

Enjoy an excursion to lakeside Lucerne in central Switzerland, where a walking tour will give you a wonderful overview of the city. Here you’ll see the medieval Chapel Bridge, standing proudly over the lake, the well preserved city walls, and the picturesque squares of the old town, lined with frescoed and flower-bedecked buildings.
Later, you’ll take the lake steamer to Vitznau, where you board the thrilling mountain railway to the summit of Mount Rigi and take in incredible panoramic views from the top. - The Golden Pass Line - 4
Today you take one of Switzerland’s most scenic rail journeys, from Interlaken to Montreux on board the Golden Pass Line. Leaving Interlaken, the train skirts Lake Thun before heading into the Simmen Valley and the Saanenland. Sit back and watch the passing scenery from the panoramic windows – the area is characterised by lush green pastures of dairy cattle, crystal clear streams, colourful alpine chalets and valleys and slopes covered with vineyards and forests of fir trees.
Journey’s end is Montreux, on the Swiss Riviera, where palm trees line the promenade and there is a distinct French influence. There will be some free time to explore this beautiful lakeside town before rejoining the train for the return journey to Interlaken. - Interlaken or Grindelwald - 5
Today is free for you to make your own discoveries in the Bernese Oberland. The Swiss capital, Berne, is your destination today. Surrounded by the Alps and set on the banks of the River Aare, the attractive city centre is compact and easily explored on foot. The old town has some of the finest medieval architecture in Europe, including the famous Gothic clock tower. - Jungfraujoch - 7
Today’s visit to the Jungfraujoch is sure to be the highlight of your holiday. You’ll travel by train from Interlaken to Wengen (via Lauterbrunnen), where you’ll join the narrow gauge railway to the Jungfraujoch. Set amongst a breathtaking world of glaciers and mountain peaks, it is easy to see why it is referred to as ‘the Top of Europe’. The train travels through a tunnel carved right through the Eiger and Monch, pausing to allow you to view the glaciers
through windows carved into the rock. Enjoy spectacular alpine panoramas over the Aletsch Glacier and Monch and Jungfrau peaks from the station at the summit. - Zurich/UK - 8
