Day 1 - London to Titisee
We depart St Pancras International by Eurostar to Paris. As we travel in Leisure Select Class, a complimentary meal and drinks are served on board. On arrival in Paris we continue through France to Strasbourg from where we transfer to Titisee, and the Maritim Hotel, where we spend four nights. (E,D)
Day 2 - Black Forest Panorama
This morning we set out on a scenic coach tour through the heart of the Black Forest. At Triberg we enjoy the natural spectacle of one of Germany's highest waterfalls, as the thundering River Gutach makes a plunge of 535 feet (163m). During the day we also visit the workshop of a traditional cuckoo clock maker to learn how these intricate clocks are made. We enjoy free time in charming Freiburg before we head back through the Black Forest to Titisee. (B,D)
Day 3 - Titisee Boat Cruise
We begin today with a morning cruise on Lake Titisee. The rest of your day is at leisure to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings of Titisee or maybe explore the Black Forest region, using your Konus Card. (B)
Day 4 - The Black Forest by Steam
We travel by coach to the town of Blumberg, where we visit the small railway museum before joining the Sauschwänzlebahn steam train for a journey through spectacular scenery to Weizen on the edge of the Black Forest. Passing through six tunnels and across three viaducts, this scenic journey back in time covers a height difference of over 230 metres. We continue by coach through the forest to St Blasien, a small village famous for its church, which features the third largest dome north of the Alps. (B,D)
Day 5 - Titisee to London
This morning we transfer by coach to Basel, where we join the high-speed TGV Est service to Paris. We cross the city by coach and board the Eurostar service back to London. A meal and complimentary drinks are served before our arrival into St Pancras International. (B,E)
