This afternoon, enjoy a cruise on the Sognefjord, the longest and deepest of the Norwegian fjords. Look out for waterfalls spilling over steep mountain cliffs, colourful villages and remote farmhouses scattered along the fjord banks.
Your cruise ends in the attractive town of Flam, where you’ll board the Flam Railway for the breathtaking journey to Myrdal. Just thirteen miles long, it surely must be one of the most amazing stretches of railway in the world, tracing the banks of the Flam River and travelling through several tunnels as it rises from sea level to 3,000 metres.
At Myrdal you’ll change trains for the journey on the regular railway to Geilo, arriving in the evening for an overnight stay. Your luggage will be transferred to Oslo, so all you need today is an overnight bag.
